Birthing Naturally – a series of 3 empowering classes
Birthing Naturally is a three-week childbirth education series, taught by Stephanie Sherman, midwife and co-founder of Conceptions PDX (http://www.conceptionspdx.com/). Stephanie has been attending births since 2006 and was an Alma midwife until she took a break to welcome her own baby in 2012!
“I’ve worked hard to put together the content that I think is most important to expecting parents. This class is appropriate for families planning a natural birth at home, in a birth center, or in the hospital.
In this series we will cover so much of what you need to feel prepared, including: what to expect in late pregnancy, preparing for labor and birth, choosing where to birth, coping mechanisms, the baby’s experience, and so much more. I strive to offer materials for varying learning styles, so that all types of learners will appreciate the way the material is presented.
At the end of the three week series I offer a separate class called Baby Care Basics, which covers caring for a new baby in a gentle, attachment-based way. All types of families are very welcome in my classes!”
Birthing Naturally is just $225 for Alma families, and $250 for community members (price includes all materials for mama, and her chosen support person).
Optional Baby Care Basics is $40 for Alma Families and $50 for community members.
